About

Dr. Brenda Fowler

Practicing since 2007, Dr. Fowler has gained expertise in a broad range of specialties, including: periodontal plastic surgery, bone grafting for prevention of tooth loss and planning for dental implant placement, management of oral pathologic lesions, and treatment and management of periodontal disease. Dr. Fowler joined Mid-South Dental Implants & Periodontics in 2010, and her vision for Mid-South includes both superior treatment outcomes and continuing a legacy of supporting the greater dental community in West Tennessee and Northern Mississippi. Over the past six years, she assisted Dr. Michael Perry in hosting seminars for this dental community every spring and fall, focusing on hygiene and implants, to provide continuing education for general dentists and their staff. These seminars brought regionally and nationally known practitioners who provided a high level of experience and insight to our community of providers. Most recently, in September 2016, Dr. Fowler hosted a Implant seminar, which focused on Evolution of a Comprehensive Care Dentist. Dr. Fowler also assisted in hosting the Seattle Study Club (2010-2014), which brought highly skilled practitioners for a in-person case review and welcomed nationally acclaimed speakers such as Stephen Covey for the training and motivation of both clinical and non-clinical staff.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1999, she went on to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 2004. Dr. Fowler completed a three-year residency program in Periodontics at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry/Birmingham Veterans Hospital in 2007. That same year, she began a private practice and joined the University of Tennessee Health & Science Center’s Dental School as part-time faculty in the Periodontology department, where she spent five years instructing students seeking to complete DDS degrees. Dr. Fowler knows her patients represent the quality of her work. She understands that no one desires to be at the periodontist, so she and her team do everything possible to make it a pleasant experience while supporting development and excellence in the entire MidSouth region. Dr. Fowler lives in Germantown, TN, where she enjoys spending time with her four-year-old son and her husband and being involved with a community of friends and family at the Germantown Church of Christ.
